MUSIC CONTENT - Mix Attack is a 1/2 hour
"club-style" radio show which is available to both commercial and
non-commercial radio stations, free of charge. The music content will
emphasize (but not be limited to) the underground dance music styles of
Progressive House, Euro/Hi-NRG, and Techno. Mix Attack features special
exclusive remixes (when available) and come hosted for automation ready
"drop and play" broadcast.
SCHEDULE - Mix Attack's production schedule is
coordinated according to the fall and spring broadcast schedules of most
non-commercial college radio stations. The show is produced and
delivered in seasonal blocks consisting of 12 programs for the fall and
16 programs for the spring, delivered twice a year for a total of 28
half-hour programs per year. Delivery of the fall season is in August,
prior to the start of the school year, and the Winter season delivery is
in December, just prior to the Christmas holiday break.
SCHEDULE NOTES - Since many non-commercial college radio
stations are off the air during the summer break, Mix Attack is out of
production for the months of May through August. Stations which are on
year round should rebroadcast Mix Attack programs from the previous fall
and spring seasons. Since most non-commercial college stations are off
the air during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter vacation breaks,
the number of Mix Attack programs produced is based on the total number
of on-air weeks typically found at college radio. If needed, Mix Attack
segments from previous seasons may be rebroadcast at the discretion of
station management.
DELIVERY FORMAT - Mix Attack is available on audio
CD or electronically by secure FTP.
PROGRAMS ON CD: Each CD contains two half-hour programs and are
shipped as program blocks, as described in the schedule above.
While the station must retain programming CDs for a minimum of 4 weeks
past airdate, it is recommended that shows be added to the station's
library on a perminiant basis so the station has an archive of Mix
Attack programming for future use. Programming CDs become property
of the station and should be archived accordingly.
PROGRAMS VIA FTP: Mix Attack program segments
can be uploaded directly to your automated broadcast server in the
.bwf format. Please contact DJ Carli for further information -
